Are you interested in creating quality documentation to help our customers monitor their Azure services? Are you able to translate technical details into clear and concise content? The Azure Monitor content team is looking for an experienced content developer (technical writer) who is curious, customer focused, and has a desire to learn and grow technically. Someone who can see how the technical pieces fit together, collaborate across teams, and create a comprehensive story. You will develop close working relationships with the product team and partner with them and other stakeholders to plan and deliver content for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Write documentation, training modules, and architecture solutions for Azure Monitor to publish on https://docs.microsoft.com
• Use customer feedback to improve documentation. This includes creation and update of content, as well as managing contributions from internal and external customers and partners.
• Collaborate with the product team, engineering, support, strategy, marketing, and content development partners to strategize, plan, and prioritize content.
• Interact with your colleagues with patience and empathy.
• Learn new technologies, functionalities, and integration with other products and services so you can teach them to others.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience working with technology and writing for a highly technical audience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
• Proven project management, organization, and planning skills including a track record of delivering great results under tight deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member
• Creative approach to problem solving, dealing with ambiguity, inspiring others to innovate and try new things, and a passion for creating great content experiences

Preferred qualifications:

• Native English- advantage
• A degree in computer science, IT, technical communication, training, information architecture, or related field.
• Experience working with Azure services and developing cloud applications
• Experience working with Git, GitHub as a content management system, and markdown
• Familiarity with one or more languages (C#, JavaScript, Python, Java, PowerShell)
• Familiarity with .NET framework and Node.js
• Familiarity with data monitoring, observability, and data analysis
• Experience in a customer-facing role supporting cloud technologies
