Job Description

Duties

The Senior Consultant, Employee Relations is responsible for the delivery of effective human resource practices through providing specialised and expert advisory and consultancy service across the department.

The role will work directly with senior leaders and collaboratively with Human Resource Business Partners to resolve complex people matters, including managing employee performance, suspected misconduct, excessive absenteeism, medical cases, and grievances. The Senior Consultant, Employee Relations will undertake a significant consultancy and facilitative role in resolving complex employee relations matters. The role will prioritise and manage multiple stakeholders and cases.

Requirements

A relevant Degree and/or post graduate qualification is desirable.

Special Conditions

This role is classified as a position of trust and will be subjected to a satisfactory criminal history record check in line with departmental policies and procedures;.

Some out of hours and weekend work along with some intra/interstate travel may be required.

Remuneration

ASO6 - $94,176 to $99,615 per annum

Tenure of Vacancy

Temporary appointment up to 12 months
