Murray McIntosh has been retained by an innovative, start-up, Consumer Finance Group to support the growth of their Head Office and Compliance function.

This position will report to the COO/CEO and will take responsibility for applying the UK regulatory standards as laid out by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and other bodies throughout the various business areas. A background in Consumer Credit would be beneficial.

The role will eventually absorb the compliance responsibilities owned by the COO and grow into a Head of Compliance position.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the Operations Teams allowing fair customer outcomes
• Support the development and delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Programme
• Design, develop and monitor a risk-based compliance monitoring program
• Take ownership of financial promotion review and sign-off
• Implement compliance controls and oversight

Requirements:

• Knowledge of the FCA handbooks relevant to Consumer Credit
• Extremely consumer-focused and motivated by positive customer outcomes
• Ability to challenge the firm's products and processes to ensure regulatory compliance
• A relevant compliance qualification is beneficial (ICA)
