Duties

The Senior Community Engagement Officer provides leadership and guidance for the department in community engagement and consultation.

The role is responsible for the development and implementation of integrated engagement plans that are well researched, identify impacted and interested stakeholders, issues and opportunities across multiple projects, programs or initiatives. The Senior Community Engagement Officer provides senior advice and direction for engagement activity, on often complex and sensitive matters, and works closely with business units to ensure awareness, understanding and meaningful engagement with project communities.

Requirements

IAP2 qualifications are desirable.

Formal relevant qualifications are desirable.

Experience working in community engagement is essential.

Special Conditions

This role is classified as a position of trust and will be subjected to a satisfactory criminal history record check in line with departmental policies and procedures.

Out of hours and weekend work will be required.

Some intra/interstate travel may be required.

Remuneration

ASO6 - $94,176 to $99,615 per annum
