As a member of the Commercial Team, you will be at the centre of this transformation. You will work closely with key stakeholders across the Sales, Finance and Product functions to lead on the definition, design and timing of activity that constitute TTWS commercial strategy to ensure it is always optimised to deliver the businesses commitments / ambitions.
 

BAU activity for the role will include the day-to-day management of the commercial strategy to ensure it always understood, optimised, supported and followed across the organisation. The successful candidate will own any change to strategy whether that be a removal or addition and the associated investigations, business casing and senior team agreement to the change.

The Team

The TTWS Commercial Team is a vibrant and energetic team that plays a major role in the shaping and structuring of sales opportunities, informing product strategy, maintaining the customer base and maximising value by using our market, regulatory, product and customer knowledge.

We work alongside and support our stakeholders which include Sales, Finance, Product and Operations.

Our team ranges from Analyst to Commercial Director. We are mainly based out of our state-of-the-art Soapworks building in Salford, however many of our colleagues are based around the UK. We offer a very flexible working structure between being home based and office based.
 

Some of the key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Ownership of the commercial strategy to ensure it is permanently optimised.
  • Delivery of the strategy ensuring delivery of the annual budget / 3YP commitments.
  • Continuous BI focus to identify opportunities to further improve the strategy.
  • Agreement to strategic change activity grounded in clear insight / modelling.
  • Great relationships across TTWS to ensure the strategy is understood & used.
  • Understanding of the telecoms market, changes and opportunities for TTWS within it.

To be successful in this role you will need the following in your skill set:

Must have / be:

  • Business Improvement and/or commercial strategy development experience
  • Excellent planning skills and be experienced in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Great stakeholder management managing multiple opinions / requirements with the ability to present to all levels up to MD.
  • A strategic and applied thinker with an unwavering attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to prioritise / manage workstack, take ownership and show resilience when needed.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills with a keen eye for attention to detail.

Be great to also:

  • Have business improvement experience (Six sigma / DMADV qualified). Have experience of a continuous improvement mentality.
  • Be an innovative thinker who can respond quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Be a proven team player who wins when the team wins.
  • Have telecom’s sector or equivalent industry knowledge and experience.
