This well established leading medium sized consultancy based in the Bay of Plenty have highly skilled and qualified professional leaders in the fields of Civil and Structural Engineering, Environmental, Project Management, Geotechnical Engineering and Surveying covering a broad spectrum of commercial and infrastructure projects.

Currently their Engineering division requires a Civil Engineer to join their Tauranga team. They offer a complete range of civil engineering services, which includes Greenfield development works comprising earthworks, road layout and design, stormwater, sanitary sewer and water reticulation through to artificial playing surfaces, stormwater catchment studies, specialist roadway pavement design and resource consent documents.

This role will be responsible for detailed design and supervision of drawing and contract document preparation, act as a technical resource to the civil engineering team whilst undertaking civil engineering investigations to determine solutions, which meet client needs.

QA all civil engineering documentation generated by the team, ensuring all documents are in accordance with acceptable New Zealand practice. Additional responsibility will be to strengthen and develop existing client relationships and actively seeking new business opportunities whilst actively undertaking project management and contract management as required.

To be considered you will have to demonstrate:

• The completion of a BE (Civil) with an excess of 4 years postgraduate experience (Chartership is desirable)
• Good all round generalist civil design skills and experience
• A positive commitment to broadening skills and to providing leadership is important
• A proven ability and desire to manage and lead a group of professional and technical staff
• A sound knowledge of computer based design techniques (12D, Civil3D, AutoCAD etc.)
• An ability to communicate with staff, clients and management, both verbally and in writing is necessary

$95K to $130K+ benefits, great growth potential, leadership opportunity.
