The opportunity

As our Auckland Civil Structures team grows, we are looking for a Senior CAD Designer to join our team and work on key and flagship projects across the Civil Structures space. Project work typically encompasses medium to large projects in the region but you will also have the opportunity to work on other projects throughout New Zealand across the Pacific.

Every day will be different with new challenges, but overall, you will be responsible for:

• Production of Civil Structural designs and drawings through CAD/BIM software
• Explore and encourage the efficient use of existing and new digital delivery software and systems
• Produce, check, issue and oversee the production of bridge, port & marine, cut & cover tunnels, large scale retaining walls and water retaining structures package drawings
• Develop standard design templates, being able to create scripts to streamline production of drawings
• Coordinate project drawing documentations ensuring project deliverables and standards are met
• Provide mentoring and technical support to the broader Civil Structures team

About you

We are looking for a high performing professional with a real passion for the design. You have gained your experience with CAD and civil drafting in a professional engineering environment and it is fair to say your experience in civil structures design is second to none. You will contribute to the development of the team by providing technical leadership, mentoring and transferring your technical knowledge across all levels of the team.
