Here's the exciting bit…a day includes

 You will work with brands such as Gillette, Nivea, L’Oreal and Bulldog. As a Senior Buyer you will personally look after the men’s categories as well as leading 2 buyers and their buying assistants. You will already have experience of buying FMCG for a larger retailer and you will have managed a team previously. Your #1 priority will be delivering customers that Superdrug feeling by identifying and sourcing new products and delivering competitive promotional plans. The ideal candidate should be organized, dynamic, resilient and a self-starter.

A typical day in this role includes:

•You will manage a team of 4 people and report into the Head of trading
•Your stakeholders are - Merchandising, Supply Chain, Own Brand, Marketing, finance, store operations, online, insights and the supplier base
•Your main objective is to deliver the top line budget, sales, margin + fixed investment targets, own brand and exclusive targets, stock management, category specific strategic goals and developing the team.
•Your goal is to hit all your commercial objectives while leading a team
•Galvanizing the team to deliver results, flexing your style to engage internal stakeholders and get the best deal out of the suppliers

What you’ll need:

•You need experience of Commercial buying of FMCG for a larger retailer
•You will need to be a skilled and commercial negotiator 
•You need to be confident in making commercial decisions that impact our stores
•You will understand the core principles of health and beauty market 
•You will have working knowledge of the UK market High street and Grocery
