Are you a Buyer or aspiring Senior Buyer who has experience negotiating contracts for direct product and services or experience of sourcing for the HVAC sector? If so, then we have outstanding opportunity for you! 

Johnson Controls rely on a broad range of materials and sub-contractors who support our HVAC business. Your focus will be to manage this category area reviewing internal spend, supporting on customer projects and identifying saving opportunities. 

In this role you will need to understand spend requirements, negotiate prices and handle commercial and contractual interactions with supplier companies, based of supply market analysis and cost models.

How you will do it

• Supporting Procurement Manager to build and implement sourcing plans 
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and support sourcing strategy creation
• Support contract negotiations across the supplier portfolio 
• Manage supplier performance, relationships, and post-contract value creation
• Contribute to the end-to-end procurement process; delivering cost savings, spend management and driving innovation
• Build and update pipeline activity and track delivery against plans
• Facilitate and support process such as supplier on boarding, evaluations, and audits
• Creating and issuing RFIs sand RFQs through the eSourcing platform

• Proactively capture and track industry and market trends
• Review and monitor supplier performance 
• Strong negotiation skills 
• Strong presentation skills with excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrate resilience when under pressure and is able to adapt quickly to deliver commercial results 
• Ability to act on your own initiative and to influence senior management team and key stakeholders to deliver commercial results
• Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland when required

Preferred:

• Understanding of HVAC suppliers and contracts
• Experience working within the Mechanical and electrical industries
• Knowledge or experience of eSourcing
• Preferably working towards a Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) accreditation – either achieved or is studying towards Level 4 or beyond
