The Azure Cloud Hardware & Infrastructure Engineering ï´¾CHIEï´¿ team is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to support the executive office in providing high-quality data visualization and analytic solutions to the entire organization.

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer will be a member of the executive office of the VP, reporting through the Chief of Staff, and requires someone who has technical depth across a large spectrum of data disciplines, a bias for action, and a customer-first mindset. Your ability to partner successfully with a broad group of diverse stakeholders, from senior leaders to support staff, and translate business problems into technical solutions will be critical. As a Senior Business Intelligence Developer you will help design and build high-quality reports, profile data, work with data owners, and apply appropriate tools to tell compelling stories with data.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop professional visualizations in Power BI for a wide array of customers ranging from VP to team leaders.
• Ensure data is represented accurately and fairly; tell compelling stories with data that drives decision making and impact.
• Apply a consistent look and user experience to data products, ensuing that organization standards are met and accessibility is ensured.
• Work with the data warehousing team to guide them on data structures and solutions that best serve the needs of reporting and data customers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in building custom visualizations with Power BI and Python / Matplotlib
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis using Python and DAX, including manipulating data and drawing insights from large datasets.
• 7+ years of experience scripting or object-oriented development in Python 3.x, especially working with complex operations in numpy / pandas.
• 5+ years of experience in driving data quality and delivering reporting tools for a broad audience.
• Works well with a diverse team of internal customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
• Experience with a wide array of visualization frameworks such as Altair, Bokeh, Plotly, ggplot2, etc.
• Experience working with cloud-based datasets and tools, preferably on Azure
• Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM SDLC, preferably using Azure DevOps and GitHub
• Familiarity with or desire to learn about machine learning
• Experience with SQL databases
• Experience with enterprise data warehousing
• Experience with R
