About the team

 

The Customer Strategy and Technology division leads the long-term planning for our transport network, enabling the use of data in decision making, transforming customer experience by building collaborative partnerships, embracing innovative thinking and new technologies, and supporting sustainable movement of people and goods.

 

The Brand and Marketing branch creates engaging end-to-end campaigns and strategies to drive behaviour change, save lives on our roads and waterways, encourage public transport use, connect communities, and deliver the transport solutions of the future.

The Opportunity

Right now, we are looking for a high-performing Senior Business Coordinator to join either our Brand and Marketing function. In this senior role, you will be responsible for delivering high-level business and project management services to support the Executive Director and leadership team to ensure the efficient functioning of the branch. You will be responsible for managing a vast array of business inputs including safety, governance, business processes, reporting and strategic planning.

 

You will make continuous business improvements, eliminating inefficiencies through process transformation. Drawing on a solid understanding of business management, you will manage the flow of requests in and out of the branch ensuring emerging trends are highlighted and issues effectively managed. You will apply your project and business management acumen in a creative environment.

 

Accountabilities

 

Coordinate business planning processes for the Division/Branch, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and initiatives.

Provide advice, technical expertise and operational support to the Unit and the Division’s main functions on a wide variety of business matters, including all HR, finance and procurement submissions.

Contribute to sound financial management for the Division/Branch, including planning, budgeting, reporting and control.

Assist in the procurement process within the Division/Branch, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and providing strategic advice and assurance to the Executive Director on all procurement submissions.

Coordinate administrative functions, including office procedures, purchasing and records management and ensure compliance of the Division/Branch with corporate administrative policies and procedures.

Assist manage ongoing contracts with key suppliers such as advertising, media buying and creative agencies.

About you

 

We are looking for a highly organised, dynamic and capable Senior Business coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced ever-changing working environment.

 

To be successful in this role you will build and maintain strong and cooperative working relationships with the Senior Management team to ensure that priorities and deadlines are met.

 

You will have extensive experience in a similar role and demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and guide team members with strong organisational, technical, communication and time management skills.

You will have experience working either in Government or in house or agency marketing environments.

The salary for this position is Transport Grade 9 ($138,670 - $155,309) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
