What you’ll do:

• Coach the Feature Squads on best practices to assist with delivering excellent software
• Contribute to the testing strategy used to guide the principles and practices of quality assurance
• Promote testing at all steps of the development cycle along with mentoring other testers in the squads
• Contribute to the testing and tribe’s continuous improvement efforts by driving initiatives, as well as running and participating in workshops
• Drive quality assurance activities in squads including requirements analysis, exploratory testing and test automation
• Provide client team support, lead on investigating incidents and participate in release activities

What you’ll bring:

• Knowledge and experience of testing containerised, cloud-hosted back-end systems with REST APIs using mainstream tools (Postman, Insomnia etc.)
• Understanding of multi-tiered web applications and web technologies (HTTP, Json, XML, HTML, JavaScript etc.)
• Good knowledge and experience of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for test automation, and improving code quality (Java, C# etc.)
• Experience of creating, executing, and maintaining automated tests using BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or Gauge
• Great analytical skills and the QA mindset to ask the right questions
• Experience of testing software in an agile methodology along with CI/CD using build tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Octopus etc.

For those times we need to come together, or for those who prefer it, we have a superb tech hub located in Leeds Dock, just under a mile from Leeds train station, with free water taxis available from the station to Leeds Dock. There’s also plenty of parking in the surrounding streets and at the nearby CitiPark.
