To support Vodafone Group Internal Audit in providing risk-based independent assurance of the effectiveness of the Group’s internal controls to senior management and the Group Audit and Risk Committee within the area of Vodafone Business 

What will you be doing?

• Define our audit plan and deliver VF Business related audits across domains such as: Finance, legal and regulatory and commercial aspects; managing the complex matrix business operating model of VB vis-à-vis local markets across all segments: VGE, large corporate SME, SOHO.  Also covers off-opco operating companies in Asia, Europe and the Americas.
• Be the subject matter expert within the VF business domain in the areas of risks most relevant to them – commercial aspects, operating models, platforms, technologies and security.
• Experience a fast paced and high standard environment which is ever changing and evolving with the digital initiatives and transformation of the VB function
• Liaise with local market EBU and audit functions to keep updated on local initiatives, and share knowledge from Group; tracking progress in addressing audit recommendations and confirming their closure 
• Build and maintain positive working relationships within the VB’s senior leaders/Directors, as well as within the Internal Audit organisation.
• Lead a team of three other auditors in Newbury/Paddington in scoping, planning, delivery and reporting of relevant and forward looking and emerging areas of risk across all VB related Companies, off-opco in Asia, Americas and Europe, Group entities and globally.
• Lead, and indirectly manage, a virtual team  of 10-15 process auditors across our global business to deliver complex cross entity end to end audits  - from Group, local market and shared services – ensuring knowledge sharing, high quality, consistency of global thematic audit messages.
• Organise, run and own the VF Business audit committee – preparation of agenda, papers, followup on actions and preparation of minutes.
• Ambassador of an effective control environment with active participation and contribution in other governance meetings 
• Own and lead Group audit strategic initiatives taking the function closer to be world-class
• Support Global Head of Audit – Corporate and Commercial and teams of peers in delivery of audit plans by providing knowledge and expertise.

Who are we looking for?

• High calibre graduate, ACA/CIMA/ACCA/MBA qualified and depth of experience and expertise in B2B commercial business models, emerging risks in these, best practices in global standards, policies, related risks and controls.  Professional audit certifications is a good to have 
• Ability to move and navigate through changes caused by fast changing business environment
• Highly driven and analytical with previous experience of business and financial reporting related processes 
• Experience and deep understanding of internal audit methodologies, business impact, root cause, 
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing skills and ability to have difficult conversations, including at director level
• Collaborative approach across functions and geographies
• Excellent English communication, report writing and presentation skills to ensure credibility with senior management
• Open to travel 25% time – in post covid world
