Duties

The Senior Asset Engineer is responsible for the effective management of enhancements to the assets, the planning of improvements relating to a wide range of traffic matters, asset management and safety issues for the effective performance of the arterial road network. The successful candidate will ensure the integrity of new assets or alterations are sustainable long term, which contributes to the achievement of Department objectives of providing an infrastructure that is efficient, reliable, safe and in harmony with the environment.

Requirements

A degree in Civil Engineering providing eligibility for graduate membership as a Professional Engineer of the Institution of Engineers, Australia and a current driver’s licence are essential.

Special Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to provide a National Police Check prior to employment with the Department. Additional employment checks may be required relevant to the role being undertaken as outlined in the role statement.

Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel, may be required.

The location of this role is in either Crystal Brook or Port Augusta.

Remuneration

PO3 - $96,860 to $102,400 per annum
