About the team
The newly formed Strategy, Portfolio, and Investment (SP&I) branch leads Sydney Trains Strategy and Planning, Investment Management, Enterprise Portfolio Management, the Network Growth Portfolio, Reporting and Analytics, and Transformation. The Investment Management (IM) function sits within SP&I and provides funding pipeline, business case development, assurance, and funding functions to ST.
You will be working in a large team engaging with multiple stakeholders, where no two days will be the same.
The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is driven by passion, reports, data, analysis to join Sydney Trains. This is a Permanent Full-time role, within the SP&I team. The Senior Analyst, Assurance is responsible for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and improving effective project investment assurance processes to provide investors with an independent review of projects and to ensure projects are well positioned for successful delivery and benefits realization

Key accountabilities
Lead assurance and benefit delivery reviews as required in accordance with internal and external requirements. This includes assessment of the financial impacts for costs and benefits throughout the investment lifecycle.
Continually review and improve risk-based investment assurance process to optimise efficiency and effectiveness and ensure they address both Government and local requirements.
Provide expert specialist advice regarding program and project investment assurance to ensure that programs and projects comply with legislation, government policy, Sydney Trains requirements to realise benefit commitments.
Design and implement processes to enable monitoring and reporting of the closure of investment assurance recommendations for improvement and conditions requiring action / completion by the project and others.

About you
We are looking for people driven with passion to join us with most amazing times that NSW will witness. You will be working in highly collaborative and influential teams, dealing, and engaging with projects related to Investments & benefits. You will be well versed with local legislations, policy’s pertaining to Investments and Assurance. Having a Banking & Finance background will be added advantage, along with excellent time management skills and able to multitask and set priorities right.
Essentials Criteria:
Tertiary qualification in applied finance/business or equivalent experience in the financial and economic evaluation of projects across investment management lifecycle.
Salary and benefits
The salary for this position is RC Grade 7 ($143,555 - $157,945) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
