Animal and Plant Health covers all the activities that contribute to reducing the likelihood that harmful pests and diseases will arrive at our border, as well as supporting the assurances for our plant produce exported overseas.
The work we do facilitates the export of New Zealand's primary plant products to ensure products comply with overseas country's requirements reduces the risk before produce leaves New Zealand. Producers and exporters all take action to comply with the requirements specified by our trading partners.
