We are looking for a software engineer who can join our team and help us to expand the capabilities we offer. The ideal candidate will have a solid full-stack development background and will be passionate about product security, high-quality tooling and designing for scale. This is an amazing opportunity, and your work will help us expand our security efforts across the growing portfolio of Microsoft Products.

• Design, develop and maintain features in OneFuzz.
• Contribute to debugging and troubleshooting issues in any component of the platform.
• Participate actively in code reviews, bug/issue triage with teams.
• Great interpersonal skills with ability to convey technical content to a varied audience. 
• Learn and apply new skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of software development experience working in one or more of Rust, Python, C#, F#, java.
• 2+ years of cloud-native development and deployment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A BS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in multi-threading and asynchronous programming.
• Experience building and deploying services to Azure.
• Experience with automated dynamic testing such as fuzzing.
• Enjoy discovering and solving problems; proactively seeking clarification of requirements and direction; being a self-starter who takes responsibility and drives consensus.
• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and working independently.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple business and engineering teams.
• A willingness to learn, share, and improve.
• Great written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
