Responsibilities
As a Security & Compliance Technical Specialist, your primary goal is to win the technical decision of customers to purchase and use our range of Security, Compliance and Identity-focused solutions.
You will work within a virtual team of technical, partner and consulting resources to educate your customers at a technical level, demonstrate and prove our solutions, and win the technical decision, allowing the team to achieve/exceed quarterly Microsoft Security, Compliance & Identity sales/usage targets in your accounts. Being part of this team will allow you to maintain and develop your deep technical expertise across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud-based security, compliance & identity solutions, architectures, programs, and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Scale Customer Engagements: Remediates blockers; leads and ensures technical wins for Microsoft Security, Compliance & Identity and adjacent technologies. Engages with and reaches out to customers proactively and independently; builds credibility with customers as a trusted advisor for Microsoft Security, Compliance & Identity; and searches for and uses Microsoft Security, Compliance & Identity customer references.
Scale Through Partners: Engages in partner sell-with scenarios and supports partner technical capacity.
Build Strategy: Contributes to security strategy development, shapes strategic win plan and tailors Microsoft messaging to audience for security opportunities. Enhances team capabilities for extended detection and response (XDR), zero trust, cloud security identity access and management, information protection, privacy management, data governance and insider risk management and develops compete strategies for Microsoft Security, Compliance & Identity for assigned customers
Solution Design & Proof: Demonstrates and oversees demonstrations, presents and applies architecture patterns, proves capabilities and integration into customer environment, and drives cross-workload support for Microsoft solutions for security. Coaches team in addressing customer digital transformation and leveraging insights to align new or changing technology to customer security needs.
Education: Builds their own readiness plan and grows extended detection and response (XDR), zero trust, cloud security identity access and management, information protection, privacy management, data governance and insider risk management domain knowledge and practices expertise. Acts as a mentor for Microsoft Security, Compliance & Identity, its integration with other Microsoft products & services, and Microsoft Security, Compliance & Identity solutions generally; and increases internal virtual teams' understanding of extended detection and response (XDR), zero trust, cloud security identity access and management, information protection, privacy management, data governance and insider risk management solutions and new opportunities

Scale Through Partners: Skilled in: Acting as liaison between the partner and team and facilitating partner resources and processes; supporting partner technical capacity by identifying security skill and resource gaps and providing feedback to internal teams (e.g., Global Partner Solutions).
Build Strategy: Skilled in: Leveraging knowledge of partners, open-source solutions, and competitors in extended detection and response (XDR), zero trust, cloud security identity access and management, information protection, privacy management, data governance and insider risk management; using knowledge of customer feedback, specific Microsoft Security, Compliance & Identity solutions, and their context in a competitive landscape; capturing and transferring core competitive knowledge to product and engineering teams.
Solution Design & Proof: Skilled in: Delivering demonstrations (e.g., Architectural Design Sessions, Pilots, and Proof of Concept sessions) of Microsoft Security, Compliance & Identity products, services, and integration; presenting and applying architecture patterns for design, development, configuration, and deployment/adoption/governance planning of solutions based on Microsoft Security, Compliance & Identity; applying sales methodologies; leveraging partner/customer teams in solution design & proof.
Education: Skilled in: Proactively identifying learning gaps; monitoring & responding to internal tech community posts, attending community calls, sessions, hackathons, etc.; practicing expertise by communicating with customers, partners, and senior colleagues to expand knowledge of architecture.

Several years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND proven years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+proven years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Proven years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting, or related experience
OR equivalent experience.
Multiple year(s) of experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
Certification in Security, Compliance and Identity industry recognized certifications are prefereed
