Job Description
Job Purpose:
Work with European financial institutions, PE firms, Hedge Funds, governments, and corporates to originate, execute and close public and private securitizations of financial assets and provide asset advisory services.
Job background/ context:
Within the Finance & Securitisation team in GSP.
Key responsibilities:
- Originate and execute securitisation and advisory roles across multiple asset classes (e.g. SME Loans, Consumer Loans, Auto Loans and Leases, Leveraged Loans, Credit Cards, Residential Mortgages)
- Working with and organising large data bases
- Modelling expected loss and asset values
- Putting together presentations
- Negotiating tranching levels with rating agencies
- Working with lawyers in documenting a transaction
- Working with partners across the ICG to develop new clients
- Assist in development of securitsation in new asset classes

Person specification:
FSA : FSA registration required
Knowledge/ experience:
- Analyst/Associate role requiring 1 – 3 years of structured finance experience
- Executed transactions in at least 2 different asset classes (one granular asset and one large loan)
Skills:
- Strong analytical and modelling capabilities
- Basic programming skills
- Strong command of all Microsoft office applications
- Experience with database programmes
Qualifications:
- Degree in mathematics, economics, engineering or other science related subject
Competencies:
- Strong organisational skills (i.e. ability to multi-task)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Collegial
- Self motivated
- Ability to speak English and another language (e.g. Spanish) is useful
