The purpose of the Scene Hand role in Production Studios is to deliver the main setting, striking and dressing requirements for all of our sets on internal and external broadcasts and productions, under the direction of the Scenic Supervisor.

What you’ll do:

• Set, strike and dress various types of sets on productions for our clients across Sport, News & Entertainment.
• Work collaboratively in a team of Scene hands, under the direction of a Scenic Supervisor.
• Provide maintenance of scenery and property where able.
• Ensure sets are maintained by identifying and reporting issues for resolution.
• Plan, coordinate and undertake the safe transport, storage, and load/unload of hired sets and equipment.

What you’ll bring:

• Comprehensive understanding and experience relating to all aspects of Scenery requirements in a studio-based production environment.
• Up-to-date knowledge in industry standards and the setting/striking needs within a highly demanding Scenic team.
• A good knowledge of paint and general set effects
• Can work well and communicate effectively with clients and talent when under pressure, delivering the right result for the production and the department
• A strong work ethic, with Production experience and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of the business when necessary.
