Job Description

This position is responsible for day to day payroll activities of region assigned, to ensure the accurate and timely pay delivery to employees. The incumbent will also take over some benefit administration jobs in SBS HR Services work scope

Local payroll position summary

The incumbent needs to perform local payroll related activities & HR operations support as agreed for the region assigned. This includes maintaining the social benefit, variable and recurrence payment/deduction collection and input, local payroll remittance/pay notification and other submission work related to local government bureau i.e. social insurance, housing fund, tax declaration and annual audit.

The incumbent is required to be familiar of China regulations. In depth knowledge to our payroll system (ADP SAP) is preferred.

Benefit admin position summary

The incumbent is also responsible for some benefits administrative jobs, such as commercial insurance monthly administration, leave administration, etc.

  1. 11+ entities and 500+ employees in Southern China

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Local payroll role:

  1. Perform local payroll related activities for region assigned, including variable/recurrence payment and deductions collection and input in payroll system (Both ADP Global and Streamline)
  2. Arrange local bank remittance for employees monthly net pay based on the approved payment requisition
  3. Answer any local payroll-related inquires
  4. Generate and distribute pay slip to employees
  5. Responsible for work associated with local government/bureau/FESCO i.e. social Insurance / housing fund / tax / MPF declaration/annual audit and submission of related documents for employees to the government
  6. Reconcile the payroll related payment with GLA
  7. Keep close watch on the updates of relevant local payroll laws/regulations and inform Payroll Manager in time
  8. Responsible for leave administration for region assigned
  9. To support any other HR Ops related work as agreed and approved between HR & SBS HR

Benefit admin role:

 

  1. Support on the local submission of employees’ insurance claim to insurance company
  2. Support on the employees’ inquiry about insurance benefit and coordinate with insurance company when there is any claim issue/dispute
  3. Other SBS HR administration works, i.e. issuing employment certificate and income statement

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

  1. Preferably a College or Diploma holder with 1 year of relevant working experiences in HR or Finance, payroll experience is preferable
  2. Job Incumbent must be bilingual in English and Mandarin
  3. Job Incumbent must be meticulous, possess good communication, interpersonal and PC skills
  4. Job Incumbent must be a pro-active team player and demonstrate focus on continuous learning and improvement
  5. Base finance knowledge is preferable
