About this role
The vision of the sales tools & systems team is to provide the strategy and governance for Enterprise sales tools & systems
(including data within the sales tools & systems), enabling sales to sell efficiently & effectively.
The purpose of this role is to enable sales to sell product propositions efficiently and effectively through process capabilities
designed, developed, and deployed within the salesforce sales tools & systems
Ensures trading reliability for Enterprise sales channels using deployed process capabilities within salesforce
Translates and Leads on lead-to-order and configure-price-quote process demand into functional/technical design of
capability within the salesforce sales tools & systems
Ensures salesforce and CPQ are designed principally within ‘Out of the Box’ guardrails, reducing unnecessary configuration
and customisation
Consults into the salesforce and CPQ strategy for Enterprise channels
You'll have the following responsibilities
• Manages a team to deliver complex and large-scale technology development and solutions that provide business value and meet customer requirements, encouraging team’s use of innovative approaches and tools to solve high impact, complex problems.
• Applies technical expertise to provide direction and make commercial decisions focused on wider converged technology lifecycle, setting roadmaps, and defining and driving towards a desired future state & ensuring BT can reliably trade.
• Drives team’s understanding of customer and user centric technical process design, driving and implementing improvements to enhance the customer and user experience.
• Making authoritative recommendations that balance delivery, strategic direction, and operational performance.
• Accountable for TLR / TLC plan with Finance, year on year efficiency plans and overall business unit organisational health/high engaging teams.
• Responsible for working understanding demand and ensuring proactive capacity planning to ensure teams are adequately resourced to cope with fluctuating business demand
• Manage escalations for major releases/contracts, agreeing any changes with stakeholders
• Agree initial finance and scope of transformation areas with stakeholders and apply cross release and/or IP level cost control. Ensure all release, transformation and contract areas meet budget targets and deliver agreed business capability.

• Team Coach – Builds high performing cultures within teams, empowers, and supports coaching and development activities.

You'll have the following skills & experience
• Stakeholder Management: Able to establish and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships and facilitates mutually beneficial negotiations to develop solutions, ensuring they meet current and emerging business and technical needs.
• Transformation: Able to manage long term changes and adapting the unit in line with the business. Be able to transform delivery to improve and reduce cost and b confident in managing changes to major products or releases.
• Problem Solving: Must be able to proactively solve business problems that deal with uncertainty e.g., demand profile planning including location, skill, and resource. Also, some problems will be multi-platform wide, impacting multiple services or cross-portfolio solutions.
• Be Agile: Leads collaborative and agile ways of working through projects and programmes effectively managing changing priorities.
• People Leader: Experience in leading teams encompassing the full employee lifecycle. Resource & skills identification, succession planning and matrix managing for multiple disciplines including having experience in TLR/TLC planning.
• Commercial & Risk Awareness: Experience in evaluation of the obvious and subtle commercial risks/issues/challenges especially in relation to a programme/project. Experience in determining the appropriate commercial solutions
• Bold Decision Maker – Problem solves to achieve business unit plans, providing expertise and insight to support bold decisions.
• Successful Delivery: Ability to accept demand from key stakeholders bring from concept to live delivery, support all stages of Product trial and Launch.
