This is a people management role. You will be responsible for day to day management of the team and for defining roles and responsibilities. You will develop your team through sharing information effectively, coaching and communicating a clear vision to ensure that your staff are productive, engaged and motivated to deliver the area's aims. This will include setting clear goals and smart stretching objectives that are aligned to those of the team, division and directorate. You will also be responsible for managing all staff-related matters that may arise. As the Programme Director, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a complex pan-industry programme with key public milestones in 2023 and 2024. You will possess deep transformation and delivery experience, combined with the knowledge and gravitas to engage at the most senior levels within the Bank. You will also be required to oversee engagement with a significant array of external stakeholders including Direct Participants. The role requires the leadership skills to engage and motivate the whole programme team in a challenging delivery environment. This is a complex programme involving the implementation of critical national infrastructure, leading a large programme team of over 200 people, leading the relationship with our Technology Delivery Partner with a similar sized team and a managing a substantial budget. This programme has a very significant technology component and therefore a key aspect of the role is driving collaborative delivery with internal and third party technology teams. The effective management of stakeholder relationships both internally and with an extensive number of impacted industry partners will be critical. So, as the role holder, you will need to lead the programme teams to ensure internal business readiness and that the associated business change is well implemented within the Bank, as well as assuring external readiness.
