BBC Technology and Product Groups (T&P) are the teams building the future of the BBC, delivering TV, radio and online services to millions of people worldwide every day
As well as being behind iPlayer and the News, Sports and Children’s services, T&P develops, supports and maintain the systems and infrastructure that keeps the BBC on air and are responsible for the biggest British-run digital service in the world
T&P has exciting plans in 2022 and beyond to continue to expand, along with delivering on key strategic objectives around change, diversity, inclusion, location and culture. Our Resourcing Team will play a key role in supporting these initiatives and we’re now looking for a talented Resourcing Specialist to help us deliver our ambitions.
As Resourcing Specialist, you’ll work closely with divisional leadership, HR stakeholders and resourcing colleagues as the lead on strategic recruitment plans for Technology and Product Groups in Scotland, as well as supporting colleagues in other key UK locations.
To support our growth plans you’ll identify key talent in the local market, providing ongoing mapping services and introducing prospective medium to long term talent options to the divisional Leadership
You’ll lead on resourcing initiatives to integrate with the local technology market, establishing close working links with educators, local authorities, professional technology groups, event and meet up groups and third party providers. Through this work you’ll establish BBC T&P as leading talent destinations whilst ensuring that our public service obligations to the local technology sector are fulfilled
We’re looking for a talented and highly experienced recruitment specialist with longstanding experience gained within the technology/digital sector. You’ll have led on resourcing strategies to build technology functions, with the ability to establish close working links with senior stakeholders both internally and externally
You may have built this experience in an agency, in-house or RPO environment – the key is that you can recognise great technology professionals at all levels and have the skills to acquire this talent to meet the BBC strategic objectives
Your experience will include the successful design and delivery of recruitment campaigns to build technology functions, where you've been responsible for managing the full end to end process, as well as driving the full attraction strategy through everything from social media to hosting recruitment events and attending local meet-ups
