This is a fast-paced residential developer that has gained massive momentum in the past 2 – 3 years across NZ.  Led by astute directors from well-regarded development backgrounds, they have seen the opportunity to assist in solving the housing crisis by focussing on supply. Their work is largely buying land and or house(s) on large sections and converting to multiple properties consisting of 2 – 3 story walk ups/terraced houses. They are well structured, have top systems in place and are well set up for training.

With multiple sites on the go, they now need another project manager to join the team.

Key accountabilities:

• Management and scheduling of jobs using project management software
• Management of site and close monitoring of all processes in order to ensure the highest quality of job is delivered
• Site inspection and quality management
• Sub contractor management and managing relationships with suppliers
• Processing documents for code of compliance
• Ensuring Health & Safety compliance
• A strong personality with the ability to drive a project yet be mindful of maintaining positive workplace relationships
• Monitoring budgets and schedules to ensure successful delivery of projects

Key background for this role requires:

• 3 - 6 years’ experience in the residential construction/building industry within NZ worked as a site foreman, site or project manager
• Carpentry trade background
• Strong leadership ability
• Good understanding of building compliance and quality management
• Strong job programming ability, organisational and time management skills
• Health and Safety Management
