The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Resident Liaison Officer.

Based out of our office in the Isle of Dogs, this role is to provide an administrative service for the Cladding & Maintenance team and specifically administering Fire Risk Assessment Actions. Dealing effectively and promptly with all issues and reporting any problems to the Major Works Manager or the Operations Director.

 This primary purpose of this role is to build customer confidence during these works. Ensuring resident liaison & customer care are of the highest level.

 Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure effective resident consultation & communication is carried out, in particular in relation to Cladding project.
  • Ensure regular interaction is maintained with tenants/visitors during Cladding process.
  • Make appointments with tenants when required.
  • Identify customer needs (work shifts, school runs, health issues)
  • Ensure all aspects of works are explained to tenants.
  • Attend regular site meetings; engage with Project manager/site supervisor on a regular basis.

 

What you will need to succeed

We are looking for someone who believes in working together as part of a team, who shares our values and who is friendly and positive. The successful candidate will:

  • Good standard of education.
  • Good level of competence in customer care in the building/maintenance industry.
  • Good level of IT skills and literacy
  • Previous work experience in the housing sector
  • Track record of developing and maintaining good working relationships with staff and customers
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Previous RLO withing the Housing sector is desirable
  • Experience of working with Cladding – Highly Desirable
  • Excellent people skills – you will be liaising face to face with the residents
