We are looking for Researchers whose expertise are in Security and Privacy to join the Microsoft Research Redmond Lab.  Microsoft works with the world’s best researchers, who move with the current of technology as it rapidly evolves. Responsibilities

• Masters one or more sub-areas and gains expertise in a broad area of research. Understands the corresponding literature, applicable research techniques, and academic context.  
• Identifies and articulates a clear, long-term research agenda that is academically novel and that incorporates business priorities. 
• Leads a collaborative research effort (possibly spanning multiple teams) to advance a long-term research agenda through multiple projects, yielding new algorithms, prototypes, theories, analyses, insights or collections of data in one or more sub-areas or a broad area of research. 
• Mentors Ph.D. candidates, research interns, assistant researchers, associate researchers, and senior researchers by guiding them on their research projects and in their careers. Identifies and inspires new research talent to join Microsoft Research.  
• Works well within and across team boundaries, enables others to be more productive, and collaborates with the intent of building a world-class research organization.  

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or a relevant field. 
• Research ability demonstrated by publications in top security and systems conferences. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Passion in developing new research and new technologies to ensure the cloud is secure and trustworthy 
• Passion in making computations in both the edge and cloud verifiable 
• Passion in maintaining the security and root of trust of the billion connected devices.
