About this role
The Front Door Analyst has responsibility for managing all new requests (typicaly 80-100) into the People Reporting and Analytics team.The role holder also has responsibility for the front door application where new requests are input and processed. The Front Door Analyst will work with the HR Reporting Manager to ensure requests are managed effectively and resourced across the reporting team based on capacity and knowledge required. The role holder has responsibility for the customer experience and operational management of the front door process including review of performance metrics including completion rates and timelines. As part of the reporting team this person will also be responsible for regular reporting activity.
You'll have the following responsibilities
• First point of contact for all reporting and data management requests received via the Front Door
•Service all requests that can be fulfilled using existing reports or need redirection.
•Qualifying requests to ensure all details are captured and to identify the appropriate data sources and capability required to fulfil.
•Based on knowledge of reporting portfolio advise customers on appropriate solutions to the request within the data context.
•Monitoring and ensuring timely allocation of new requests, identifying any potential issues and addressing as part of the work reception process.
•Monitor & manage requests once allocated to ensure timely closures.
•Develop communications for stakeholders to actively promote existing reports and resources available.
•Monitor requests and identify opportunities to develop more efficient solutions to fulfil requests from regular customers or recurring themes.
•Maintain and improve our SharePoint sites to provide a positive colleague experience and simple report access.
•Champion continuous improvement of the Front Door process within the team to deliver an improved colleague experience.

Customer Focus – this job involves contact with a range of customers from within HR and across BT. Understanding help identify ways to improve the services available and access to reporting.
Data Management – experience of data management and report generation is essential as the role holder will service front door and regular reporting services
Data Security – understand data governance and data controls related to sensitive personal data and aligned to GDPR and data privacy requirements
Problem Solving – data request have to be managed within the data context i.e. what can be sourced and what the data definition is.
MS Sharepoint capability – the current front door and reporting services are SharePoint based
Process Improvement – review and improve the services provided through the Front Door process to benefit customers and provide valued resources effectively and efficiently
Time management- the role requires effective time management to ensure requests are fulfilled effectively and efficiently.
Stakeholder management - the completion of reports varies significantly due to the complexity of sourcing data, managing this and customer expectations is therefore important.
Understanding what customers use reporting services for and what leads to customer demand will mean for the company.
