Role Responsibilities:
Ownership and delivery of timely and insightful outputs to internal and external stakeholders
High-quality reporting with supporting analysis to identify underlying drivers and offer business insight
Operation and enhancement of financial and operational controls with the ultimate aim of safeguarding both customer and shareholder interests
Continuous focus on process optimisation, simplicity and standardisation
Leading investigations within reporting and acting as a key resource on projects
Influencing partners and handling key relationships across Finance
Skills and experience required:
Qualified accountant with relevant post qualification experience
Sound knowledge of financial reporting processes and architecture
Excellent analytical skills and pro-active drive to identify and investigate variances
Experience in a financial reporting role within financial services would be advantageous
Experience of working to tight deadlines in a demanding environment
Good leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with other areas of the business
Strong excel and analytical skills
Knowledge of IFRS 17, Solvency II and experience of preparing statutory accounts would also be beneficial
