The role’s duties & responsibilities:

• Improve the accuracy of aged reporting within the reconciliations
• To review and improve overall quality of master risk rating documents
• To support on the delivery of detailed action plans for all unreconciled balances
• To support on the production of governance reporting and management information
• Delivering governance and develop appropriate processes for monitoring and reporting reconciliation status
• Liaise with the offshore and onshore team to improve quality of reconciliations, including rolling out of formalised header sheet and background tabs

Skills & experiences required:

• Fully qualified as an Accountant or Auditor
• A strong knowledge and experience of balance sheet reconciliations is essential
• An understanding of reconciliations with large data sets from multiple sources (data warehouse, policy admin systems, cash at bank etc)
• Strong understanding of the balance sheet and what the balances represent in order to ensure an accurate understanding of the correct ageing of GL balances
• Good stakeholder management with the ability to communicate well, with people at various levels
