Our recently opened, brand new Hotel is located in one of the best areas of Auckland, Newmarket.  Sitting directly across from the new Westfield Newmarket shopping, entertainment, and rooftop dining precinct, we’re only moments away from a variety of top attractions! Access Britomart, Commercial Bay, the waterfront, Eden Park and more from the nearby train station.
Our new property has 93 rooms with a mix of hotel rooms, executive studios, one, two and three bedroom luxury apartments.
 
Part of a global company:
We  are privately owned by a local Kiwi family, but we are part of the internationally awarded Wyndham Hotels and Resorts group - one of the largest hotel companies in the world.  Wyndham have over 20 hotel brands in 80+ countries and over 9000 hotels globally.  The New Zealand operations are in an exciting growth stage with several new hotels opening every year.
 
Your new Reception role:
This role is perfect for students as there is afternoons/evenings and weekend work available.  Just a small snapshot of the duties will include:

 - Check hotel guests in and out
 - Answer guest queries by telephone, online, email and face to face
 - Quoting rooms rates and taking payments
 - Cross selling / upselling based on guests requirements 

We’re looking for someone who can provide the most incredible guest experience to ensure all customers feel like they are staying at their 'home away from home'.  You'll be comfortable with guests and working on your own and as part of a team.
 
What we'd love you to bring:
If you have hotel or reception experience - great. If not, we provide FULL training, so with us it's all about attitude!  We're looking for an energetic, passionate team members. You'll be the type of person that smiles the second a guests walks in and doesn't mind having a chat about their day.  You’ll need exceptional teamwork, plus the confidence to work by yourself when required. Your verbal communication skills will also need to be top notch.
