We are looking for new Receptionist to join our team and currently have a full-time position available to join our Best Practice Accredited St Albans clinic on a permanent basis. We are looking for someone with the with energy and drive to make a real difference. Commitment and passion for high standards of care, along with a great team spirit are a must.

Ourvets St Albans was Christchurch’s first NZVA Accredited Practice. We are very proud of the ongoing commitment of all staff to have remained accredited for so many years. 

This role is 30-40 hours per week covering Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm with some flexibility around rostered hours.

Main duties include:

• Greeting and directing incoming visitors and their pets in a professional and friendly manner
• Answering phone calls promptly, professionally, and attentively
• Managing an immaculate front office area
• Assisting with office administration duties

About you:

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist or Medical Receptionist is an advantage
• Exceptional organisational skills, professional presentation, and attention to detail
• Must have a passion and love for companion animals and be comfortable handling them
• Must be compassionate, caring and have empathy towards our clients and their pets
• Excellent communication skills
• A positive attitude and a flexible and adaptive nature
• Ability to work within our team but also work independently when needed
