A career in our Property Valuation Practice, within Deals Valuation, will provide you with the opportunity to leverage specialist expertise in the real estate market. Qualification in surveyors, property valuers of internationally recognised professional bodies such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, or local professional institutes such as the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors and the China Institute of Real Estate Appraisers are required.

As part of our team, you will be involved in real estate matters where we offer various kinds of services including valuations for different purposes, taxation, mergers and acquisitions and other advisory services as well as being part of the integrated deals team in offering real estate related advice to clients from an overall deals perspective.

What to consider before applying

You will play an essential role as part of a team working on client engagements. Your work will include hands-on work with diverse real estate advisory projects such as valuations analysis/appraisals, development and feasibility analysis (including pro-forma modelling), highest and best use analysis, transaction advisory, due diligence, portfolio optimization, real estate ESG implications, and document preparation on a variety of client files.

As a Valuation, Property Valuation, Deals, Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• A team member who will be exposed to all of our Real Estate Advisory services working with our various practice discipline specialists.
• Assisting and/or analyzing real estate market research and analysis across multiple asset classes in numerous markets across Canada.
• Supporting various financial analysis and assisting in projects with underwriting/assessment of investment real estate.
• Supporting the preparation of initial drafts of reports, schedules, memos, and pitches, using appropriate industry and business acumen.
• Interacting with various clients, advisors, stakeholder groups.
• Interacting with key members within the PwC Real Estate team and across the organization.

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
• Ability to multitask on competing deadlines within a fast paced and team-oriented environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Your broad real estate background may include a valuation focus with or leading to an AACI designation, and/or occupier advisory; some knowledge in one or more of the following would be favourable: highest & best use analysis, leasing strategy, facility management, corporate real estate.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for various financial analyses, and Argus would be highly desirable.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and/or Google Slides for pitches, presentations, and deliverables.
