We need a project manager to oversee the delivery of vegetation management services across the KiwiRail network in Auckland and Northland. Company vehicle and competitive salary package will be offered to the successful candidate. 

A typical week will include:

• Work closely with the Business Manager to assist with the daily management of the KiwiRail contract including reviewing and, where necessary, recommending changes to existing programmes
• Manages the budget, timeline, and resources for the project
• Conduct regular site audits to monitor contract performance and advise on contractual work requirements
• Liaise with the Contract Manager regarding work priorities monitors problems and provides solutions and report on progress, ensures project timeline is followed
• Regularly reports progress to the stakeholders
• Effectively allocate and manage all handheld devices for field crew
• Provide coaching/training to up-skill field teams in the use of handheld devices and technology

Your skills and attributes:

• Working remotely (you’ll need to travel to Hamilton at least once a month), you’ll need to be highly motivated.
• Have a sound knowledge of KiwiRail process and compliance procedures
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the field including working on the rail system / network, arboriculture, and agrichemical spraying
• Be a team player with a safety-focused attitude
• Clean Class 1 Drivers Licence (minimum)and current First Aid certificate
• Be able to pass regular drug tests
