Location:   Newbury - Full-time remote working during COVID-19
Salary:       Competitive + Vodafone benefits
Hours:       37.5hrs per week – Mon to Fri

What will you be doing? 

A new opportunity has arisen for a Radio Network – Planning and GIS Specialist.  You will be responsible for the provision of Radio Planning activities, GIS development, support, and consultancy work within Networks.

You will assist in the development and automation of GIS models and processes to define and support Network Analysis, including the generation of Network Coverage KPI Reporting. 

In addition, you will carry out Geo-Spatial (GIS) modelling and reporting on what-if scenarios for specific projects, ad-hoc analyses and reports, and BAU activities.

 

Who are we looking for?  

  • Must have technical / professional qualifications: 
  • A HNC/HND in an appropriate technical based subject, with experience in a Radio or GIS related environment.  
  • Experience of GIS tools, radio networks and the processes and tools used in the design and optimisation of the radio network.
  • High level knowledge of network deployment activities and processes
  • Experience of using radio planning and GIS tools for wide area radio planning and modelling.
  • Prior use of radio propagation prediction tools for radio planning
  • Understanding of 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G radio technologies and planning techniques
  • Practised user of ESRI ArcView with Spatial Analyst and Python scripting
  • Practised in geo-spatial and statistical data analysis, visualisation and interpretation
