The main objective of the job: This role is working in the bespoke joinery, interior fit out and light construction industry. The position involves planning and managing costs related to multiple projects, calculating budgets based on premium clients customized requirements, tendering, procurement and preparing detailed estimates to ensure budgets are sufficient for each stage of construction. You will seek to minimise the costs of each project and enhance value for money, whilst still achieving the highest level of standards and second to non-quality the company are renowned for.

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A relevant QS Qualification
  • 3 years or more New Zealand QS/Estimating experience
  • Experience monitoring and analysing costs in interior fit out industry, or similar
  • Tender management and costs proposal experience
  • Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation (incl CCA, NZ Building Code/Act 2004 & local by-laws)
  • Experience contributing to day to day management and strategic direction
  • Knowledge of building methods and materials
  • High level of interpersonal client relationship building skills
  • The ability to read and interpret plans and estimate building, material, labour costs
  • Advanced level of mathematics, accounting and calculation skills
  • Exceptional planning and organisation skills
  • Clean & current Full NZ Driver’s License
  • Currently be living in NZ & have the right to work in NZ (including work visas)
