This is an exciting opportunity for a degree qualified Quantity Surveyor to work for a main contractor based in London.

You will be an integral member of the team, helping the company to produce distinctive, detailed buildings to specification, on time and on budget.

My client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor that is an experienced, highly organised, and detailed person to help manage projects by scoping out and breaking down all the necessary components and activities, resourcing the necessary products, people and services and overseeing the process from start to finish.

Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of pre and post contract roles on new and existing projects.

You will be responsible for the following:

• Cost planning & budgeting
• Pre-tender estimating
• Manage projects as a lead surveyor
• Sourcing and engaging with high quality subcontractors
• Tendering works packages and procurement
• Management of purchase orders and subcontracts
• Monthly valuations
• Project financial control and reporting

Requirements:

• Degree qualified
• Managing projects as lead surveyor
• Excellent numeracy and financial management skills
• Excellent communication, problem solving and negotiation skills
• Pre and post contract experience
• Stable work background
• Valid UK work permit

My client are looking to pay a competitive basic salary between £50k to £60k basic (this will be based on experience) plus a benefits package including car allowance, travel and pension with the position looking to start ASAP but the client is happy to wait if the candidate has a notice period.
