Our Development team sits at the heart of our vision to provide places to call home, with an aim to deliver 5000 homes over ten years. We are responsible for the acquisition, delivery and sales of new-build properties across London and the South East.

The role
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Quality Manager in Camden. This role will require travel to One Housing locations in and around the London Area. You will be required to have your own transport or be comfortable using public transport. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct visual inspections on the site to ensure that the work and the materials meet the specifications and quality standards, coordinating data with the consultant Site Inspector.
- Produce clear and accurate weekly site inspection reports for sites visited including photographic evidence, for distribution to Project Managers and Head of Service, such reports to be of a standard to be circulated to the Employers Agent (EA).
- Become familiar with all the programmes, specifications, relevant drawings and written instructions, checking them against progress and using them as a reference when inspecting the work for quality and progress.
- Be familiar with legal and regulatory requirements, checking that the work complies with them in respect of quality.
- Have a working knowledge of health and safety legislation, including fire safety, bringing any shortfalls observed to the attention of the Project Manager and consultant Site Inspector.
- Produce a summary weekly report of all sites visited, reporting on the progress of the programme to the Head of Service and Commercial and Property Director.
- Report any issues noted with contractors / consultants workmanship or materials immediately to the Project Manager and Design and Technical Team to improve the service they provide to meet One Housing’s standards.
- Monitor and report on the Contractor’s site resource and ability to meet the programme targets.
What you will need to succeed
We are looking for someone who believes in working together as part of a team, who shares our values and who is positive and friendly. The successful candidate will:
- Be a member of the ICWCI or equivalent technical or professional qualification in a property or project management, construction or maintenance field
- Evidence of the ability to set and deliver targets within agreed parameters.
- Ability to create effective KPI and monitoring devices to ensure the high standards of the organisation are met by consultants.
- Be able to establish an appropriate professional working relationship with the contractor's staff be persuasive and diplomatic while remaining independent
- Relevant experience at delivering a customer focused service.
- Thorough understanding of building structure, building services and maintenance techniques
