HS Marston is looking for a Quality Engineer – First Article Inspection to join us at this exciting time.

Position Summary:

The Quality Engineer – First Article Inspection will support the organisation in the validation and approval of manufacturing and production processes.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in support of product Industrial validation.

• Preparation of FAI through the analysis of manufacturing documentation and obtaining all necessary information required.

• Review of Supplier FAIR’s ensuring they meet the requirements and liaising with suppliers to resolve  issues identified.

• Compilation of FAI metrics to communicate status of activities.

• Interface directly with operations, suppliers and stakeholders to achieve internal and customer expectations.

• Fully conversant with AS1900 and AS9102 requirements for FAI.

• Utilise continues improvement tools and methodology to increase efficiency and right first time within the FAI process.

The above is a selection of responsibilities, there may be other tasks not listed that will be expected to support the changing business needs.

Basic Requirements:

• First Article Inspection experience essential.

• Extensive knowledge and experience of AS9100 and AS9102.

• Preferred experience using Visual FAI / NETInspect software.

• Formal further education/academic certificate (i.e. HNC/HND, City & Guilds, BTEC, etc).

• Strong organization and planning skills to ensure multiple tasks are prioritised and monitored to deliver set objectives.

• Knowledge of applying continuous improvement activities.

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).

• Highly self-motivated and demonstrate a determination and persistence to deliver results
