Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Guide and control suppliers, subcontractors, and in-house teams to comply with project quality plans and quality control documentation.
  • Develop and Implement project-related documentation including Inspection, Test Plans, Records, Method Statements, Supplier Quality Requirements collation and analysis for supplier approval.

  • Prepare and submit technical documentation such as Inspection Requests (IR), Material Inspection Requests (MIR), supplier and subcontractor submittal, and End Project Documentation.
  • Plan and prepare internal project status meeting data to ensure that it is in line with the planned project schedule.
  • Proactively assist in the implementation of the project quality plan and organizational quality management system including procedure development, work instructions, forms, etc.
  • Document & records control, control of nonconformity, corrective action, internal audit, identification and implementation of improvement opportunities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fundamentals of quality and the ability to communicate them to new and existing staff using a quality awareness slide presentation Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 is a definitive edge.

  • Carry out supplier audits, incoming inspections, in-process inspections, installation & commissioning inspections using appropriate documentation and the recording of inspection (FAT & SAT) & test results.
  • Identify and take appropriate action for nonconformity and corrective action.
  • Prepare and deliver regular work reports.
  • Plan and manage work schedules to meet project deadlines.
  • Ensure the quality inspection status overview and Global List of Open Points (GLOP) are updated regularly.
  • Follow-ups with the subcontractor/concerned department(s) to close the open snags/non-conformities.
  • Actively identify improvement opportunities and provide solutions for change.
  • Apply standard quality control tools such as histograms, control charts, cause and effect diagrams, Pareto analysis, scatter diagrams, and charts in order to present the case for change and improvement. 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electra-Mechanical.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality Controls in a Project-based environment. 

  • Knowledge in steel fabrication & installation is a definitive edge.

  • A good understanding of SCADA/PLC systems is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of business functions, processes and ability to analyze key operational control requirements for the process.
  • Clear direction and decision-making to ensure controls are maintained.
  • Multicultural project teams and understand values of controlled diplomacy and assertiveness to achieve objectives.
  • Hands-on experience in conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
  • Diligent with great attention to detail, and good organizational skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
