My client has been established for over 40 years and is one of the forerunners in the entertainment industry, working with an extensive list of high profile, household names across the Globe. They have experienced considerable growth throughout the years and due to this continued growth, they are now seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Reporting into the Head of QHSE, the Quality Assurance Officer will assist the development of the QA/QC process. You will be responsible for assisting teams in ensuring products and services meet the established standards of quality, including; reliability, usability and performance requited for distribution and the market. You will also facilitate the implementation of the Quality Assurance Processes, Standard Operating Procedures, and encourage continual improvement within all areas of the business.

This position also provides more generalised QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental) guidance and supports the business to maintain and continually improve the QHSE culture and performance, in line with the organisations strategic objectives whilst ensuring the business is compliant with all relevant safety and environmental legislation. In addition to this, the Quality Assurance Officer will monitor and implement health and safety processes and procedures.

The specific responsibilities in regards to Quality Assurance are;

• Support the Head of QHSE in developing and improving QHSE management systems and procedures to facilitate business operations in line with ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO 45001.

• Communicate information on the QHSE management system throughout the organisation and promote Quality improvement and HSE awareness through various communication channels.

• Prepare QHSE documentation for clients/projects as per the requirements in consultation with projects/operations teams.

• Facilitate support productive Quality Review and Safety committee meetings.

• Be a central point of contact for Quality Assurance related queries.

• Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented.

• Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality

• Coordinate, support and Document audits and other quality assurance activities

• Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions

• Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards

• Responsible for document management systems

• Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements

With regards to Health & Safety, you can expect to take on the following tasks;

• Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the industry.

• Advise on a range of specialist areas related to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental.

• Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation.

• Ensure statutory obligations are met on all facilities related matters inclusive of LOLER / PUWER

• Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation.

• Facilitate the completion of COSHH risk assessments.

• Manage occupational health.

The ideal candidate for this excellent opportunity will possess the following skills and experience;

• Proven Quality Assurance experience and / or Quality Management qualifications

• Nebosh General Level 3 or equivalent

• Educated to at least GCSE level (or equivalent) with minimum C Grade achievement in English and Maths

• Working knowledge of either one of ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001, Risk Assessment and COSHH

• Proven experience in a Quality, Safety, or Environmental role in manufacturing

• Knowledge of Health and Safety processes and procedures

• Right to work in the UK, possess UK driving license.

This is a full time position, Monday to Friday, covering a 40 hour working week. The position would be based primarily in North West London with a couple of days per week at a nearby site.
