Description

Role purpose: Demand, Planning Delivery & Transformation is a new function within Networks responsible for translating the Tech2025 Strategy into actionable network market plans aligned to key business priorities.

 

The Project Support lead will directly support the Head of the function and the strategic alignment and operational effectiveness of the function with effective internal and external communications. They will oversee all governance, reporting, and coordination among teams and ensure they are managed effectively and consistently, and with the support from the transformation function. The role requires working closely with senior leaders in Technology across Europe, and build relationships across Networks and IT, as well as commercial and product functions and external stakeholders. 

 

This is a business management role and the expectations are that support will be provided to the functional Head across a wide variety of work to support the team, Vodafone and our customers. 

 

They will be responsible for change management to support a major organisational and cultural transformation that the Technology organisation is currently undertaking. This includes embedding the change, influencing key stakeholders and supporting teams as we move into new ways of operating.

Job Responsibility

 

Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 


•    Functional Governance – Accountability for the governance of the function: Leadership Team Meetings, other ad hoc reviews including co-ordination, action review and quality control of input; production of concise, impactful reporting.
•    Financial Management – Accountable for some basic financial planning and coordination.
•    Business Management – Accountable for supporting requests for information from Head of the function, Head of the department, internal and external stakeholders.  
•    Communications – owns the comms plan, including leading the preparation of ad hoc comms and all hands.
•    Cultural change – work closely with HR and other key stakeholders across the business. Ensure that all areas work according to a common structure and implement ways of working aligned to the Operating Model and the Vodafone Spirit. 

 

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:


•    Leadership & Collaboration – Ability to get things done in a matrix organisation. Adapts style and influencing skills to a range of complex situations and stakeholder needs.
•    Communication and presentation – Excellent verbal and writing skills, also able to deliver confident and engaging presentations at all levels. 
•    Stakeholder engagement skills – ability to articulate complex issues in a simple way and flex styles across a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders at various levels within the organisation, in a multicultural and multinational environment.
•    Problem Solving and initiative – Takes a proactive approach to managing activities and risks and ensures team adopts a similar approach to ensure successful outcomes.
•    Strong attention to detail essential.
•    Ability to manage multiple & changing priorities.
    

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 


•    Degree qualified or equivalent experience 
•    Understanding of Telecoms – products, services and process design 
•    Understanding of financials metrics – costs, benefits

 


The following qualifications/experience are a plus:


•    Project Management 
•    Change management
•    Experience working with AGILE/SAFe
