About this role

Please note – you will notice that this role is advertised with “Bristol, UK” as one of the location options, please be advised that you will have a temporary base location ( within the Bristol area ) upon joining us, until we are ready to set up home at our shiny new permanent office in Bristol, at “the Assembly”

 

The role will manage assurance across a set of programmes in the Enterprise NewB2B portfolio. All the programmes in the NewB2B have been identified as critical to enabling Enterprise to transform and return to growth – it doesn’t get more exciting that that!

 

The programmes are large, highly complex and challenging. You will work in partnership with the SLT sponsors and Transformation Programme Managers (TPMs) on all elements, including the strategy, identifying key milestones, critical risks and dependences as a trusted partner on the programme.

 

You will provide insight across the programmes helping to creating the environment for teams to succeed, removing internal barriers and cutting through complexity to enable delivery on time and within budget.

You'll have the following responsibilities

Accountable for leading the assurance activities for a set of NewB2B programmes. These programmes are complex and represent significant transformation for Enterprise.

Leading assurance of the end-to-end programmatics, including requirements, scope, timescale, cost constraints and quality expectations.

Managing risk with an ability to use and adapt recognized project management methods and processes depending on elements of the risk profile and governance needs.

Ensures the EPO and resourcing functions have clear line of sight of upcoming demand and contract requirements.

Accountable for identifying and managing changes in scope – ensuring the appropriate governance is applied.

Accountable for onboarding new programmes into the NewBTB.

Accountable for ensuring that defined methodologies, processes and tools are consistently applied across the programmes in scope, in-line with the overall standards set by the EPO.

You'll have the following skills & experience

Highly developed project management skills with experience of delivering projects applying Prince2 or APM methodologies.

Experience of both waterfall and agile methodology and delivery, with experience of applying SAFe in a large enterprise environment an advantage.

Commercially and financially astute and able to recommend opportunities in a programme.

Great stakeholder management skills. Ability to work with multiple senior stakeholders to deliver.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to create a culture of high performance.

Negotiation, communication and decision-making skills.

Ability to understand and assess risk, to remove internal barriers and cut through complexity.

Ability to coach for great performance, including being able to articulate what fantastic performance looks like.
