We have an opportunity for a Project Manager / Business Analyst who wants to work on IT and business improvement related projects. This career enhancing position will be situated in the heart of the South Island, Te Oha-a-Maru (Oamaru). Our client's business model is centered around tÄngata (people). MŠte tūnga | The role
- You will get to develop, construct and manage project plans and bring projects to a successful conclusion within budget and schedule constraints.
- Utilise appropriate tools and techniques to gather/elicit business requirements.
- Drives to deliver high-quality implementations and drives high customer satisfaction.
- Works with customers and Business / Functional Consultants to define and document project scope.
- Defines project tasks and resource requirements.
- Proactive identification and management of project issues.
- Provides direction and support to the project team.
- Manage the risks of all aspects of projects, including the development of contingency plans.
- Manages multiple resources and tasks across internal and external organizations.

- Being naturally inquisitive and willing to hear and try new ways of approaching problems is vital.
- Team fit is everything, so having a natural desire to collaborate and have fun on the job is a priority.
- Excellent knowledge and an understanding of software development lifecycles is going to be important for you to succeed in this position.
- Demonstrated skills with an array of Programme and Project methodologies.
- Your stakeholder management skills will need to be great as you’ll be working with them daily.
- Having previous experience liaising and negotiating with Senior Management and key stakeholders will be vital to your success.
- Well-developed and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- The confidence and willingness to collaborate effectively with a variety of diverse agencies and people should come naturally to you.
- A minimum of 3 +years of software / IT project management experience is preferred
- If you come bringing business analysis experience this will be very advantageous
Technical knowledge:
- Understanding of Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint Online.
- Knowledge of Power BI
- Expertise in Microsoft suite including Visio.
- Expertise in Microsoft Project or other management tools
- Understanding of Microsoft SQL Management Studio, Visual Studio, or other tools utilised to view programming code, view data, etc
