Job Description

The opportunity

 

This is a rare opportunity for a Project Manager – TfNSW Interface to be a part of our Asset Management Division within Sydney Trains, on a temporary fixed term basis to June 2025.

 

The core focus of the position will be managing interface functions for TfNSW delivered projects on the Sydney Trains network, and include the following responsibilities:

  • Lead, coordinate and manage all TfNSW initiated projects which may impact on Sydney Trains operations and infrastructure, ensuring no adverse impact to Sydney Trains system safety, reliability, and availability
  • Interfacing with TfNSW project teams to ensure that appropriate consultations is carried out and required processes are followed including handover documentation submission.
  • Ensuring that new and modified assets are seamlessly integrated without compromising existing networks reliability and maintainability.
  • Work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders within Engineering and Maintenance Directorate including Asset Management, Engineering, Network Maintenance, Major Works & other various internal/external stakeholders to ensure effective planning, scheduling, resourcing, configuration management and possession coordination.

About you

 

To be considered for the role you must have relevant tertiary qualifications either in engineering or in Project Management, a related discipline or equivalent related industry experience. You will have significant experience managing and delivering multi-discipline projects in a complex engineering and operational environment.

 

As Project Manager, you are required to have excellent communication skills and superior stakeholder management experience, including the ability to manage conflict and negotiate. You possess exemplary commercial / business acumen and it is highly desirable that you can demonstrate expertise and or experience in managing civil / track / signalling or electrical assets or projects.

  

Salary and Benefits

 

The salary for this position is RC6 ($127,559 - $141,442) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
