Our client are a locally owned and operated structural steel firm. Due to a recent resignation, we are recruiting on behalf of them for a Project Manager.

You will be joining a small team of approx. 20 staff across both their office and workshop. Our client do both medium commercial and residential jobs however lately have had a focus more so on residential.

This Project Management role involves:

• Planning, organising, coordinating projects
• Going to site to measure jobs accurately
• Overseeing contract process with clients
• Using Tekla for detailing work (if capable)
• Liaising with workshop and site staff to ensure projects are completed as per specifications and contract
• Setting time frames and adjusting schedules as required
• Customer service and continuous communication with clients about jobs
• Other tasks as required such as following sales leads, assisting with quoting or invoicing

To be successful you should have:

• At least 5 years of Project Management experience
• Ideally have worked or had exposure to the structural steel industry
• Computer literate with good MS Office skills
• Any CAD experience is a bonus - our client use Tekla for detailing
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
• The ability to work unsupervised on multiple projects at once
• Leadership skills
