Robert half is hiring now for an experienced Senior Consultant/Project Manager for our Edmonton Client. As the successful candidate for this position, you will manage key projects as part of our client's strategic business plan. This job's primary priority, as a key member of the team, is to ensure that changes are delivered to the expectations of stakeholders, managing projects to successful completion, ensuring that projects deliver on time, on budget, and in accordance with standards and guidelines over the entire project. You will bring solid technical knowledge combined with strong strategic/critical thinking skills and experience in various industry sectors such as the public sector, justice and enforcement, and private sector organizations. This role is based in Edmonton, AB.

Requirements

MUST HAVES:

• 7 +  years’ successful working experience as a technical Project Manager/Consultant with dedication and requisite skills in order to meet critical business deadlines
• Comprehensive knowledge of project management and proficiency utilizing commonly accepted project management software tools along with comprehensive knowledge to manage specifications throughout the entire SDLC
• Proven working experience and solid knowledge of software, data and IT project management methodologies
• Solid release management experience and highly knowledgeable of established methodologies, ability to modify those methodologies and/or define an appropriate approach to fit the situation where required
• Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to anticipates issues and understands how a problem and its solution will affect the client environment
• Ability to be adaptive and thrive in constantly changing environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Excellent leadership and motivational capabilities combined with solid negotiating skills and stakeholder relationship/management skills
• Post-secondary degree in Business or Computer Science
• Experience within the financial/banking sector is an asset
