About the Team
The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.
The Network and Assets function delivers a range of infrastructure projects and maintenance programs that ensure safe, efficient, customer focused project and program delivery.
The Opportunity
Right now, we have an exceptional and unique opportunity for a permanent full time Project Engineering the New England Maintenance and Delivery team. The Project Engineer assists in the delivery of maintenance and construction projects by use of contractors and internal service providers.
The Project Engineer contributes towards the following day to day responsibilities:
Develop project briefs for nominated projects to identify the needs and outcomes to be addressed by the delivery organisation and to negotiate project scope to ensure that agreed project milestones and costs are met.
Analyse and interpret condition, cost, and other relevant information to support the development strategies, forward year plans and the current year works program for project works.
Monitor and report on infrastructure project progress to evaluate current program and forward year impacts.
Travel will be required to meet business deliverables.
This position is based in Tamworth and involves project delivery, on site work and travel across Northwest NSW at times to meet business deliverables.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated Project Engineer with effective communication skills to deliver projects by direct control and contract resources.
You will hold a relevant engineering degree and have proven industry experience working within a multi-disciplinary team within in a project delivery environment.
This position would appeal to a Project Engineer looking to take the next step in their career on a path towards a project manager or construction management position.

Salary and Benefits
Project Engineer – Engineer Level 1-2 - $96,105 - $127,409 per annum plus superannuation and leave loading
