Sydney Metro is Australia's biggest public transport project and first fully-automated metro rail network, connecting customers and transforming the way Sydney travels. About the team
Transport for NSW is delivering a once-in-a-century investment into new infrastructure and services, including Sydney Metro.
The first line of this new fully automated railway opened in 2019 and by 2024 will deliver 31 Metro stations and more than 66km of Metro rail.
Planning is also underway for future lines which will shape the way Australia’s largest city travels, making Sydney Metro the biggest public transport project in the nation’s history.
The opportunity
TfNSW require multiple Project Engineer’s to join the Sydney Metro team across a number of divisions including Metro West, City & Southwest, the Western Sydney Airport (WSA) across project sites from the CBD to the new Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport.
We have multiple construction sites, phases and activities and would encourage applications for those with experience in utilities, earthworks (detailed & bulk), concrete structures, piling and tunnelling (TBM and Road Header).
The primary purpose of the role is to provide project management and engineering support to the Project Manager in the delivery of construction activities, including environmental, safety, quality and productivity aspects relating to a contract package of works within a project.
The role will operate with a high level of autonomy within the requirements of the agreed work plan and establishes strategic operational priorities in consultation with the Project Manager. The position holder is expected to deliver assigned projects on time and at or below budget and is fully accountable for the quality, integrity and accuracy of expert advice provided.

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management and/or Contract Management
This position is identified as a Rail Safety Worker (RSW).
Salary and Benefits
