About the role
The Waimakariri District Council has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join the Project Delivery Unit. The focus of the Project Engineer is to provide engineering consulting services including investigation, design, and delivery on a variety of 3 Waters projects. You will strive to deliver challenging projects and work collaboratively with clients and the wider team.
You will provide technical expertise in water, wastewater, and stormwater engineering projects working from the initial investigation through to design and completion of construction. You will know how to use your technical expertise to deliver the best value solutions for the community in an innovative and collaborative manner. You will have a good understanding of project management and pride yourself on developing good relationships with clients, contractors and key stakeholders.
You will bring experience in civil, water and environmental engineering combined with contract management experience, excellent people skills and the ability to build rapport with various stakeholders. You will need strong time management & organisation skills and the ability to prioritise your own work in order to achieve timely outcomes.
You are a highly motivated team player who is well organised, able to prioritise and committed to providing excellent service and quality results.
